With reference to Sir Henry May's

Despatch No. 95 of the 27th. March, 1917, I have the honour

to transmit herewith a statement of the returns of Enemy Property made up to June 30th. last.

2.

I much regret that the quarterly returns

required by the Public Trustee have been considerably delayed

owing to an unavoidable reconstitution of the methods of

dealing with the returns received. A new set of ledgers has

now been opened and I do not anticipate any difficulty in

supplying the returns at the proper time in future,
